The event will kick off with a keynote address from Glenn Fogel, EVP at Priceline and a Summit favourite. Glen’s presentations are never dull! Expect an insightful and controversial opener to get the audience fired up and set the stage for a keynote debate featuring two other travel powerhouses, Lief Larsen, EVP at Kuoni, and Nigel Pocklington, VP Marketing at Expedia. The debate will focus on the economic and technological trends which are shaping the industry, with speakers outlining their views on innovation, investment and customer engagement.
On day two, the event brings together the companies that are at the forefront of driving travel sales online, and through the fast growing mobile channel. The growth of mobile web browsing is rocketing and the social media channels continue to grow and exert uncontrollable influence. Facebook, Google, Nokia and Blackberry will outline their plans for travel in 2010 and beyond - with leading innovators from BA and lastminute.com asking the tough questions and taking them to task.
“This year’s Summit is shaping up to be the most interesting and timely event we’ve run in many years. The way travellers are accessing information and communicating about travel products has changed dramatically, even in the last six months. This year’s Summit agenda reflects these developments, and is designed to help attendees really get to grips with the new channels available to sell travel”, said Simon Carkeek, EyeforTravel’s Executive Director.
“There’s so much to discuss and understand right now. To plan a successful route in the recovery, travel companies need to really know how to harness the sales and marketing potential of powerful consumer technologies such as social media and mobile. And they also need to understand how to maximise their revenues and their reach to market. Selling ancillary products is becoming an increasingly lucrative revenue stream for many travel companies, and distribution through high traffic, non-travel websites (such as the eBay/OctopusTravel tie up) is also becoming increasing popular. This year’s Summit will help delegates navigate these issues and create a blueprint for their future marketing and distribution strategy.”
The early bird rate for the event ends on 19th March, so register today to get the best price.
