TripIt connects to Facebook
Trip management company TripIt has introduced a new feature, which enables TripIt users to share their travel plans and get travel advice from their Facebook network.
With new Facebook Connect for TripIt, a traveller can automatically have his or her trip posted in their Facebook News Feed, showing when they’re planning a trip and when they’re leaving or returning. Once the trip is posted in their News Feed, their Facebook friends can easily comment—providing advice on where to eat, what to see and what to do. This also makes it easy to see when locations overlap so people can make plans to meet up.
Facebook Connect is a free and optional service for TripIt. With Facebook Connect, only the location and month of the trip is shared on Facebook, not the trip details.
