AirTran Airways expands its mobile web services

AirTran Airways is working on ways to offer its customers more options when using mobile devices to manage their air travel.

The airline says with the expansion of its mobile web services customers can book flights and change or cancel their travel plans.

These new services complement existing services AirTran offers on mobile devices, including viewing flight status and checking in for flights.

“Travellers rely on their handhelds to improve productivity and convenience. With this expanded application, our passengers can make travel plans at the touch of a button. And now that AirTran's entire fleet is Wi-Fi equipped, customers can use these services from 30,000 feet,” said Tad Hutcheson, vice-president of marketing and sales for AirTran Airways.
