Travelport GDS introduces ticket re-pricing and reissuing technology

Travelport GDS has introduced the industry’s first ticket re-pricing and reissuing technology to Galileo and Worldspan customers in the UK and Ireland.

Travelport Rapid Reprice, according to the company, will solve the multitude of problems agents encounter when reissuing tickets.

Rapid Reprice eliminates the labour-intensive manual process of re-pricing and reissuing flight tickets.

Instead of usual 25 minutes or so, it cuts the process down to between 1 and 5 minutes by automatically searching old and new fares, rules and itineraries and generating a new, accurate airfare. 

Travelport Rapid Reprice can process up to nine passengers within a single booking file and incorporates both public and private fares of participating airlines. The speedy re-price of tickets can be made before departure as well as during the journey.
