Tui opts for Alun Williams as Director of e-commerce

Tui Travel UK has appointed Alun Williams as Director of e-commerce with commercial responsibility for all the travel company's websites.

Williams, who will report to operations director David Burling, will also be responsible for online marketing, partnerships and content production, and will be in charge of new appointments.

As part of the restructure Nathan Timmins, former head of online marketing at Thomson, has been appointed head of online marketing and partnerships for TUI UK, his remit includes online marketing, partnerships and affiliates across all mainstream websites.

Neil Swanson has been named head of sales, operations and content. He will responsible for managing content production for both online and brochures across all mainstream brands. Meanwhile, David Jarvis has been given the role of head of user experience, responsible for ensuring websites remain user-centric in both development and design.

The appointments follow the departure of former new media director Graham Donoghue to travelsupermarket.com.
