Europcar enters China
Europcar is set to foray into China as the European passenger car and light utility vehicle rentals company gears up to serve customers in Beijing from March onwards.
The initiative comes ahead of the Olympic Games to be held this August.
Europcar's services are being offered in partnership with a car rental operator in Beijing. Further details weren't shared.
Arnd Rieken, International Franchise Network Director, Europcar International said, "The Chinese tourism market is booming and thousands of visitors will be discovering Beijing for the first time. It is a unique opportunity for Europcar and for the development of the car rental industry in China as a whole."
Europcar will initially be offering two types of service in the Chinese capital: a Daily Chauffeur Service for people wanting to travel within or discover Beijing, and a transfer service between the city and Beijing Capital International Airport.
To cater to the needs of international travellers, Europcar China will offer services in English, apply strict quality standards and draw on the expertise of local professional chauffeurs with extensive knowledge of the city and its highlights.
