Travel companies are taught important behavioural differences between European travel consumers
A 22% growth of European online travel spend is expected this year, accruing more than EUR 46 billion and representing 18.4% of the European travel market. EyeforTravel reports that the online sector of the European travel market grew 30% from 2005 to 2006, was worth EUR 38.3 billion and 15.5% of the market. This is a significant jump from its 4% share in 2002. Looking ahead, a 16% Compound Annual Growth Rate (2007 to 2010) for the online sector is expected, as well as an 8% erosion of the offline market.
