Jet Airways focuses on faster page and application download times for its site
Jet Airways has signed a deal with Akamai Technologies to enhance online user experience.
Akamai services will ensure speedy access and enhanced performance of www.jetairways.com, regardless of conditions on the Internet and irrespective of their locations. This is done by effectively delivering the airlines’ content from Akamai’s 21,000 servers located across 70 countries.
“Akamai’s Dynamic Site Accelerator Solution will now enable Jet Airways to use technologies like “Internet Route” and “Connection Optimisation” to speed up dynamic transactions and interactive content. Apart from this, it would allow the airline to strategically and cost-effectively deploy sites with a reduced lead time and assuring peak performance,” a release shared.
Jet Airways’ Vice President Marketing, Gaurang Shetty said, “As we continue to expand our operations across the globe and increase direct sales through jetairways.com, we wanted our website which attracts over five million page views and 1.5 million visitors per month, to provide our customers with a world class web presence.”
“Our website’s performance is critical to our existing and future business activity as we continue to grow with our international flights and utilising Akamai’s global network of servers will provide capacity on demand to reach global consumers without the cost, timing and risk of expanding our infrastructure globally,” added Shetty.
