DFDS Seaways upgrades its website to include an agents’ only section

DFDS Seaways has introduced the travel agents’ version of its website (www.dfds.co.uk/agent).

In a move to further strengthen its relationship with the travel agent community, DFDS Seaways is offering agents the same online prices as customers booking direct.

Andrew Crowe, UK sales manager,  DFDS Seaways, “We have always valued our relationship with our travel agent partners.  This latest development provides a whole new dimension to the service that we can offer them.  Not only will they be able to access exactly the same product as consumers and the very latest exclusive trade offers but the new site will make booking DFDS Seaways much simpler and easier.”

According to the company, registered agents will log on to the site and access the complete DFDS Seaways portfolio of crossings, short breaks and holidays.  Any bookings made are then directly attributed to their account.

“Thus the calculation of commission is much more streamlined. Agents can register online to obtain the necessary ID and password to enter the site,” stated a release.

Other elements of the site will include bulk brochure requests which can be processed online and latest news information.

DFDS Seaways operate routes from Newcastle to Bergen and Amsterdam , Harwich to Esbjerg .  The company has just launched an extended 2007 Holiday Collection with a short breaks programme due for launch shortly.
