OctopusTravel.com launches rail travel microsite

OctopusTravel.com has launched a new microsite for rail travel, complementing the global breadth of its accommodation product and additional services such as transfers and sightseeing tours.

The new rail site is operated on behalf of OctopusTravel Rail by International Rail, which specialises in the sale and distribution of Rail Tickets and Passes for travel in Europe, Australia, Asia and The Americas.

The new offering, www.octopustravel-rail.com, from accommodation website, offers an opportunity to purchase over 30 types of rail passes for travel in over 35 countries worldwide. The website provides a quick and simple way to book rail travel with features such as real-time reservations and next day delivery of tickets, online tracking, maps and timetables.

According to Omid Golshan, European director – Marketing, International Rail said the launch comes at a stage when rail travel is growing in popularity and becoming an integral part of many holidays and short breaks.

International Rail’s product portfolio is extensive and includes over 65,000 Point to Point routes, Regional Passes for each continent and Country Passes to cover every country in Europe and many in North America and Australasia.
