Galileo UK offers agents to sell travel insurance policies

Galileo is teaming up with AXA Insurance, the largest travel insurer in the UK, to offer UK Galileo agents the chance to sell travel insurance policies to their customers.

According to the GDS, these policies can be packaged up with other elements of a customer booking, ensuring the agents provide a “one-stop-shop” for their customers.

Patrick Lukan, country manager UK, Galileo said, “Our agents also benefit from additional commission earnings and ease of use. In turn, their customers benefit from the convenience of a “one-stop-shop” and the security of knowing that AXA is a reliable and trusted travel insurer.”

Galileo agents who are ABTA, IATA or ATOL-bonded who would like to use the Galileo system to sell insurance have to sign up with Galileo and become approved to sell and the sale of travel insurance has to be linked to a flight booking.  The AXA insurance policy is available from today and offers the opportunity for the travel agencies to gain additional earnings.

Selling the policies through the easy to use Galileo system requires no additional training, stated the company.
