Hoseasons appoints Andy Phillipps as non-executive director
UK’s self-catering specialist Hoseasons has announced the appointment of David Maloney as chairman and Andy Phillipps as non-executive director.
Current chairman Ron Haylock is to retire from the Board after six years with the company.
Maloney was formerly chief financial officer of Le Meridian Hotels and Resorts, chief financial officer of Thomson Travel Group and group finance director of Avis Europe, while Phillipps co-founded Active Hotels, which was sold to Priceline.com for $161 million in 2004, and was chief executive officer of Priceline’s international operations until November 2005.
Richard Carrick, chief executive of Hoseasons said, “The past year has been one of change for Hoseasons as we re-model our business in response to some of the most far reaching changes the travel industry has yet seen. These high calibre appointments clearly show our ambitions for the future of the business. Hoseasons enjoys a trusted consumer brand and we will embrace the future of the travel market by turning into a leading edge holiday company of the future, offering multi channel distribution.”
The appointments follow those of Sara Zimmerman as product director and Pali Badwal as business development director earlier in the year.
