Facilitating group travel booking process

CheapCaribbean.com has launched a new Groups and Events department to provide planning, booking, and management services to facilitate the group travel booking process.

The company says nearly 20 percent of Americans want to travel as part of a group, yet the booking process often proves frustrating. The new initiative is to serve group travelers in an efficient manner.

“Whether you’re planning a wedding, meeting, convention, or any other group travel event, for 20 people or 2,200 people, a dedicated group travel department is crucial to efficient planning and management,” said Holly Powers, CheapCaribbean.com’s head of Groups and Events.

The Groups and Events department has also negotiated air contracts for special group rates and discounts.

Travelers who book group trips with CheapCaribbean.com will have access to expert recommendations for resorts and hotels in destinations across the Caribbean, Bermuda and Mexico, ability to search real-time rates and inventory, as well as receive online confirmations from hotels, detailed hotel information, including amenities and standard terms, group rates lower than online and traditional wholesale competitors etc.
