Alaska designates Galileo as long-term distribution partner

Galileo International has signed a five-year, full content enterprise agreement with Alaska Airlines.

Through the agreement, all of Alaska’s published fares and inventory will be available to all users of the Galileo GDS system, including Galileo-connected travel agencies, corporate customers and Travelport online agencies booking through Galileo.

As part of the programme, Alaska Airlines has become a participating carrier in Galileo’s Content Continuity Program, an optional programme that protects US customers from airline service fees and at the same time, addresses airlines’ desire for reduced distribution costs.

Recently, Sabre Holdings had announced that Alaska Airlines signed new five-year, full-content agreements with Sabre Travel Network and Travelocity.

As part of the agreement, Alaska Airlines has become a participating carrier in Sabre’s recently announced Efficient Access Solution. In addition, Alaska Airlines will continue its full-content relationship with Travelocity.
