“You will not see these kinds of fares or services anywhere else on the Internet”: cFares

cFares has come up with what it refers to be a “breakthrough Internet travel service”, offering members to “save hundreds to thousands of dollars on international airfares compared to ticket prices offered on Expedia, Travelocity or Priceline”.

The company says cFares is the first Internet travel service to give consumers access to: Wholesale, consolidator and discount airline inventory never before offered on a single site; these fares can have discounts of more than 50 percent versus standard fares.

It adds: Even lower-than-market ticket prices created on the spot in partnership with the airlines by cFares' patent-pending dynamic pricing engine; and
cAgent - a patent pending name-your-price service that puts all other name-your-price services to shame-conducts a continuous search of cFares’ unique inventory to find a target fare and then holds the ticket for 24 hours and allows a member to view full ticket details before purchasing.

“You will not see these kinds of fares or services anywhere else on the Internet,” said cFares founder and chief executive officer Vajid Jafri.

“Based on our 20 years in the business, we also think we've built a Priceline killer by eliminating the blind buying that consumers hate. With cAgent, our members can name their price and then see the full itinerary, ticket price, and carrier before they buy. We're offering the smart traveler a more dynamic and flexible alternative to today's online travel services, while also providing real value to our airline partners.”

To buy discount tickets listed on cFares, consumers will need a cFares account. There are two levels of membership available: Gold and Platinum.

On how it works, a release states: “Using cFares’ comprehensive air-travel search engine, travel deals are collected from hundreds of websites and multiple airlines, including the discount carriers and wholesalers, which no other major Internet travel site can offer today. cFares ensures the best overall results and flexibility for the consumer by searching the widest base of airfare inventory.”

It adds: “cFares’ cAgent provides unprecedented service and fare selection to consumers by allowing members to specify a price point they would be willing to pay on an airline ticket. The cAgent service continuously searches the full airfare inventory looking for a price below the consumer’s target. Since airfares vary significantly over time, this allows cFares to search repeatedly on the consumer’s behalf until it comes up with a suitable match. Once the cAgent service finds a fare at or below the consumer’s specified price, it places a courtesy hold on the reservation and notifies the consumer and provides a 24 hour window to book, defer or decline the purchase. If the price found is below the consumer's specified price target then cFares passes the savings on to the consumer.”
