eLong awarded top travel booking site

Online travel service provider eLong, Inc. has been awarded the top position in the category of travel booking websites in the 2005-2006 China Internet Industry Survey Report Release as well as the 2005-2006 China Internet Industry Top 100 Award Ceremony.

The ceremony was held by the Internet Society of China and co-organized by CCIDConsulting, IDC China, iResearch and Analysys International. The ceremony marked the release of a series of Internet Industry Survey Reports based on a survey conducted through websites, email and telephone. A panel of 150 experts also participated in the survey.

According to an official release from the company, the most frequently used websites in each of 50 categories were included in the top 50 websites, which together with Innovator Top 50 websites comprise the Internet Top 100. eLong ranked number one in the travel booking category.

“We are excited to receive this valuable award, which is based on feedback collected directly from the customers. It is testament to our continuing efforts to improve our products and services,” remarked Justin Tang, chairman and chief executive officer, eLong.
