Cheapflights appoints Shahin Fard as head of online marketing and global SEO
Cheapflights has promoted Shahin Fard to head of online marketing and global search engine optimisation (SEO). Fard was previously online marketing manager.
Shah will report to commercial director, Rob Passmore, and will co-ordinate closely with Andrew Canellos, director of marketing in the company’s US operational hub in Boston.
In his expanded role, Shah will be responsible for Global SEO (UK and US), and the management of all on-line marketing activity for the UK business, including SEO, PPC (Pay per Click), affiliate marketing, online advertising and syndication.
Chris Cuddy, Cheapflights’ group managing director said that in the four plus years that Shah has been with Cheapflights, his responsibilities and impact on the business have grown materially. “This promotion recognises his notable contribution, his inspirational attitude, and the significance of traffic generation to Cheapflights’ future,” said Cuddy.

David Soskin, chief executive of the company said that over the past five years company’s unique user traffic growth has grown from 300,000 to more than 4 million a month and out travel advertising partners from 70 to over 900. “Shah’s contribution to this achievement has been recognised with his promotion and the expansion of his responsibilities,” said Soskin.
