Traveldoo offers tools to control travel expenses

PARIS -- Traveldoo, a French company with a global business plan to provide systems for companies to control travel expenses, has released a new product called Traveldoo Enterprise. The company says this product proposes a new set of capabilities to help large organisations improve the performance of their travel procurement processes and optimise their European travel spend.

"Although global trends underpin the evolution of the travel industry, each regional market is characterised by its own dynamic and specificities," said Olivier Mindren, the marketing vice president for Traveldoo. "Today, no global product in the marketplace can effectively serve large organisations in Europe. We propose a new evolutionary solution, Traveldoo Enterprise, to address more efficiently the diversity and the growing complexity of European markets."

Mindren said Traveldoo Enterprise is based on a combination of three components: an online reservation platform, designed for scalability and open to European content diversity; powerful tools for extended travel policy management; and a set of interactive dashboards delivering an unprecedented visibility over travel program performance.

Traveldoo Enterprise has drawn on experiences from first pan-European implementations, emanates from ideas and suggestions of our clients and large organisations in Europe, he said. "Traveldoo delivers a new solution fully aligned with today's diversity of the European market and offers the flexibility to adapt quickly to future changes," Mindren said.

Corporate travel

Mindren added that because the success of online corporate travel services depends on their adoption by end-users, Traveldoo Enterprise integrates content in sync with European market specificities, and process innovations such as the 3-Click Booking and the 1-Click Search for hotels around company's frequent destinations. Usability is also very much linked to application response time and reliability. Traveldoo Enterprise is built on Java 2 Platform (J2EE), uses Web Services and the latest GDS interfaces, Amadeus epower and Galileo Web Services.

French rail bookings

Last February, Traveldoo announced that it was the first software provider to have successfully completed certification for the French national railway (SNCF). "We are very pleased to be the first to bring the long-awaited online corporate booking solution for both French domestic rail services and international rail travel with Eurostar and Thalys", said Nabih El Aroussi, CEO, Traveldoo. "This new development further illustrates our ability to deliver on our promises."

"SNCF is committed to give corporate customers ever easier access to its products. Selling tickets online to business travellers, now available through our partnership with Traveldoo, is a major step in this direction", said Cécile Queille, Deputy Director, SNCF.

Rail booking is available to large organisations through Traveldoo ShopSite, and can be accessed by SME through online travel agencies using Traveldoo Portal. Direct connection between Traveldoo solutions and SNCF reservation system is based upon Web Services technology and XML messages.

In the area of mobile technology applications, Traveldoo has systems that deliver SMS notifications to travellers of booking confirmation, changes and cancellations. The company also has a product to deliver travel itineraries to a WAP-enabled phone or a PDA.
